Dear Shopper, Adventures Underground is located in Richland, Washington (USA), and we sell books all over the world. Our open shop is located in the Uptown Shopping Center at 1391 George Washington Way. If you visit our store, you will find wide aisles and a clean, well-lit, and friendly atmosphere. We have fielded many queries about our store name, which comes from the original title of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland: Adventures Under Ground. We are neither an amusement park nor a spelunking business. Even our bookstore dog, Charley, is named after Lewis Carroll, whose real name was Right Reverend Charles Lutwidge Dogson. We began our internet presence in 1999 with a small selection of used books online. Since then our web inventory has exploded tremendously, and we now carry new books and remainder (or discount) books, with a large new selection from Fantagraphics Books and Eros Comix, with an emphasis on R. Crumb, Edward Abbey, and L. Frank Baum. We are preparing to add some 40,000 back-issue comics to our website. Our cover art selection is growing as well - we currently offer over 100 pieces of original cover and interior art. (Cover art refers to the original painting done for the cover of a book, which is then processed by the publisher and printed on the book. We carry the artist's original art for many titles.) We strive to provide quality books and other items at affordable price to buyers of all backgrounds, and we guarantee the descriptions of all items.
