Details: A very nicely designed black and white illustration used on the dust jacket for the hardcover and paperback editions of Ralph Milne Farley's The Hidden Universe, published by the Fantasy Publishing Company in 1950. FPCI was an early publisher of science fiction and published such noteworthy author's as Andre Norton, L. Ron Hubbard, Robert Heinlein, L. Sprague De Camp, and others. Roger Sherman Hoar was a former state senator who wrote numerous science fiction tales under the pseudonym of Ralph Milne Farley.
This piece of art measures nine-and-three-quarters inches across by thirteen inches tall, with an approximate one-inch white border on all edges. There is some discoloration and wear to the white border, and one small faint surface stain to the lower right-hand planet, but the image remains in very good condition. |
